Genealogical Research

Genealogical needs vary from person to person. Research projects range from developing a research plan to large in-depth projects and everything in between. We can go over details of your specific needs in a free consultation.

Karen primarily researches records in the English language. However, when investigating immigrant families, a great deal of research can often be conducted in English language records to provide clues for foreign exploration. Karen can do some foreign language research but it is typically limited to church records (baptism, marriage, and burial) and sometimes civil records (birth, marriage, and death). Projects requiring further research should be conducted by someone fluent in the language.

Coaching

Do you have a specific problem that you want to talk through? Coaching sessions are offered via zoom or a phone call. Karen can help brainstorm ideas of where to look next, suggest ideas on how to break down your research barriers, walk you through difficult research tasks, or tackle other genealogical questions. Coaching sessions are charged in 15 minute increments with a 30 minute minimum.
